摘要
对国内二十年间所发表的1407篇旅游英语教学研究论文进行了统计分析,分别从发展时期、地区差异和研究内容三个角度和层次概述了该类ESP教学研究在国内的发展成就和潜在问题:首先,其阶段特征明显,在经历了萌芽期和快速推进期后,当前已进入稳定发展期。其次,不同省、直辖市和自治区之间所开展旅游英语教学研究存在集中和不足的情况,四大地区之间的总体差异逐步减小。在研究内容层次方面,过多研究集中在教学方法和模式问题上,而对语言形式、书面英语技能(如阅读、写作)等重视不够。此外,师资、教材和社会背景等教学环境问题逐渐受到关注。建议后续研究切实加强针对性和实践性,促进我国职业英语教学的良性健康发展。
This research pertains to a study on tourism English teaching reflected in the 1407 papers that have been published over the past twenty years.The developmental characteristics, regional differences and research contents are analyzed so as to reveal the achievements and potential problems： first of all, China＇s tourism English teaching has gone through three stages, i.e.burgeo- ning, accelerating and now steadily growing; secondly, attention paid to tourism English teaching among different provinces, munici- palities and autonomous regions are ill-balanced, though differences among the four regions are increasingly dwindling.In terms of research contents, an overwhelming majority of the papers are focused on the teaching methods and models, in contrast with the few papers directed to the study of linguistic forms and skills of written English （such as reading and writing）.Admittedly, such miscel- laneous elements within teaching environment as teachers, teaching materials and social background relevant to tourism English are gaining in popularity within the research field in question.In the end, it is suggested that subsequent reaches be exactly and practi- cally targeted in a hope of paving the road for the sound development of domestic vocational English teaching.
