Described the advantaged and the scope of application of three-dimensional scanning technology, introduced performance parameters and working principle of ATOS scanner products, and also presented the applications of three-dimensional scanning technology in the detection of the impeller in axial flow pump and mixed flow pump, and the outcome via comparative analysis of the scanned curve surfaces in the impeller space. With the factual data on the serious distortion of the impeller blade obtained during the manufacturing process and operational use, the main causes that affected the pump performance parameters were confirmed.
