摘要
正史之中,仅有《隋书》和《旧唐书》称"经籍志",其余史书皆称"艺文志",学界对此鲜有考证。从词本义出发,"艺文"指儒家经典之术,"经籍"指儒家典籍或泛指各学派的典籍;从汉人使用的实际情况来看,"艺文"、"经籍"皆指儒家典籍。这两个词的使用与儒学的兴衰有着密切的关系。汉代儒学兴盛,以"艺文志"命名来凸显儒家经典治国之术;魏晋南北朝至隋唐时期,儒学受佛道二教冲击,地位下降,改称"经籍志";唐代以降,儒学复兴,同时为了遵循《汉书》开创的这一传统,遂改回"艺文志"之名。正确理解"艺文"与"经籍"二词的含义是研究《艺文志》和《经籍志》的前提条件。
In official history except ＂The History of the Sui Dynasty＂and ＂The Old Tang’s Historical Book＂are named ＂Jingjizhi＂while other history books are ＂Yiwenzhi＂. So far few academic research on this has been done.The literal meaning of the words ＂Yiwen＂refers to the tactics of the Confucian classics,and ＂Jingji＂means either the Confucian classics or various books; In practice,both of them refer to the Confucian classics in Han Dynasty.These two words ’ usage has a close relationship with the rise and fall of Confucianism. with Confucianism flourishing in Han Dynasty,＂Yiwenzhi＂was adopted to highlight the statecraft of Confucian classics; From Wei and Jin to the Sui and Tang Dynasties,Confucianism was impacted by the Buddhism and Taoism,which leads to declining of the status,then renamed ＂Jingjizhi＂; After Tang Dynasty,with the Confucianism’s revival,and in order to follow this tradition beginning from ＂The history of Han Dynasty＂,＂Yiwenzhi＂is changed back. Correc understanding the meanings of ＂Yiwen＂and ＂Jingji＂is a prerequisite for studying ＂Yiwenzhi＂and ＂Jingjizhi＂.
