翻译市场化与市场化翻译 被引量:11

摘要 语言的经济价值和翻译活动的劳务性质是翻译学与经济学交接、交叉的根本原因。依照语言本身的意义价值和被使用而形成的经济价值,翻译经济效益可划分为译内经济效益和译外经济效益。翻译活动被纳入市场促使翻译市场形成,市场机制的充分调节促使翻译呈现市场化,进而产生市场化翻译,形成翻译产业,实现翻译的经济管理。本文提出"翻译市场化"和"市场化翻译"两个概念,并比照制度化翻译窥探翻译背后的经济因素和市场机制。从经济学角度对翻译活动进行考察和研究,在学理上应是语言经济学的一个重要方面。 Translation is a language service with economic value,which entails the area of translation studies and economics.The ideational value of language and the economic value during its realization in the process of translating determine the dual economic benefits of translation activity: inner-translation benefit and outer-translation benefit. The development of translation market and its key role in the regulation of translation activities ensures the effective management of a market-driven translation industry. In this paper,two new terms,translation marketing and market-driven translation are proposed,and the market-driven translation is examined in contrast with institutionalized translation so as to reveal the economic factors and marketing mechanism underlying translation activities. The authors contend that investigation into the economic aspects of translation should be one of the essential areas of research on language economics.
