摘要
多角度阐述了科技英语句子结构的特点,科技英语的句子结构有一些独特之处:较多使用名词化结构、被动语态结构、动词的非谓语形式、后置定语等。复合句构成的长句也使句子的长度增加,结构更复杂,客观性增强。主要以文体翻译为例:从科技论文摘要的翻译、科技论文的翻译到科技应用文的翻译,翻译实践与翻译教学相结合,进一步提高翻译的水平和翻译课的教学质量。
This paper expounds the characteristics of sentence structures of EST , some unique features are found in EST, nominalization, passive voice, non- finite verbs and post- attributives are largely used. Long sen- tences with clauses make sentence longer, more complicated, more objective. This paper takes EST as an example , discusses translation techniques in English abstract , articles and practical styles .Translation practice combin- ing with translation teachinz enhance the level of both.
