摘要
数据库是伴随着计算机的发明而诞生的，它的功能主要是数据存储、数据管理和数据共享。XML文档也可以看成是一个数据库，它具有作为数据库的优点：易描述，易存储，易传输，易交换。本文讨论了XML与关系数据库的联系，并给出了相互转换的可行方法。
The database is born with the invention of the computer, its main function is data storage, data management and data sharing. XML documents can also be seen as a database and has the database advantage which is easy to describe, to store, to transport, to exchange. In this paper, the relation between XML and relational database is discussed and give the feasible method to mutual transformation.
