摘要
利用访谈法和网络调查法调研南京地区25所本科院校图书馆社会服务情况发现,高校图书馆开展社会服务的动机主要为拓展服务领域、提升服务能力、承担社会责任、为社会发展贡献力量以及实现资源共建共享。高校图书馆社会服务存在社会动机的设立基础缺少理论支持,缺乏对社会服务动机与效果的一致性评价,社会服务实际效果以及读者受惠面并不广泛等问题。因此,高校图书馆在开展社会服务时,应重视社会服务动机研究,理性看待社会服务,明确并端正社会服务的动机和目的,建立社会服务动机与效果一致性评价机制,确定合理的社会服务内容,在保证校内需求的同时兼顾公众需求。
Research was conducted on P5 university libraries in Nanjing area examining their social services situations via interviews and online surveys. Result shows that motivations driving university libraries' social service practices include expanding service area, improving service competency, undertaking social responsibilities, contributing to social development, and realizing the co-construction and sharing of resources. At the same time, they all present similar issues, such as lack of theoretical support in establishing social motivations, lack of coherent evaluation mechanism for both motivations and effects of social services, less conspicuous as shown in practical results, and bringing limited benefits to readers. Thus, when deploying social services, university libraries should pay great attention to research of social service motivations, approach social services with a rational mindset, clarify and envisage motivations and aims of social services, establish coherent evaluation mechanism for motivations as well as effects of social services, determining reasonable social services content, attending to public needs while ensuring the needs of university readers.
