传播学视阈下的中国博物馆概况英译研究 被引量:1

On the Translation of a Brief Introduction to Chinese Museums from the Perspective of Communication Studies

摘要 博物馆概况英译实质是进行跨文化信息传播的外宣翻译,在此过程中应重视受众的认可,并遵循三个基本原则:传播系统动态平衡原则、传播受众需求与满足导向原则和传播媒介符合适应原则。在从传播学视角考察了20则中国博物馆官网单位概况英译文和20则英语国家博物馆官网单位概况之后,发现翻译内容选择不当、修辞使用不当和网络呈现形式不当是导致译文质量不高的三个主要问题。译者应采用改译、编译和增译等翻译策略来应对以上问题。 The English translation of a brief introduction to Chinese museums, a part of internation- al publicity translation for cross-cultural information communication, should pay attention to the recogni- tion of target audience and follow the three fundamental principles as follows: The principle of dynamic balance in communication system,target audience-oriented principle and the coordination principle be- tween communication information and media. After inspecting from the perspective of communication studies, the English introduction to the official site of 20 Chinese museums and of 20 museums.of Eng- lish-speaking countries respectively,three main problems in English translations are exposed: inappro- priate content, inappropriate rhetoric and inappropriate online presentation. Therefore,some alternative translation strategies, such as adaption, compiling and amplification, should be adopted by translators to solve the above problems.
