路口文明是城市文明的缩影。每一个行色匆匆的路人，或驱车，或行走，驻足停留最多的便是路口；所以，路口交通秩序和文明程度的提升，关乎着城市的形象，关乎着百姓民生。
Civilization at intersections is the epitome of urban civilization. The passers-by who were in a hurry to catch a bus or on their way back home gathered at intersections. Therefore, the improvement of traffic order at the intersections represent a city's image and people's welfare. Starting with regulating traffic order at the crossroads, Jinan launched the 'intersection revolution' to establish the orderly model via implementation of stringent regulations and resolutely performed the 'four uniformity' and 'four transmits', creating a wonderful landscape for the elevation of civilization at intersections. While renovating order at the intersections, Jinan has focused on the building of intersection culture. In accordance with the principle of 'being plain but not simple' concept, it combined the already-existing traffic facilities and favorable topographies with the regional characteristics and surrounding communities of the intersections to build the intersection culture by streamlining the pictorial, written and graphic elements, in order to fully demonstrate advanced traffic concepts, well-defined traffic rules, heart-warming cautions and so forth.
