The rise of MOOCs not only deeply affects the regular education system, but also sets up a new milestone for the life-long learning. While MOOCs is actively promoted world widely, Taiwan also encourages colleges and universities to develop MOOCs. So far, although there have emerged many excellent MOOCs,the sustainability of MOOCs becomes a new focus. Based on the data analysis of Taiwan LIFE courses,it finds that a successful MOOC should have the following characteristics: the designed teaching videos should be attractive to learners; the designed activities can lead to interaction among learners effectively; the number of computer graded online-quiz is properly designed; the supply of credits/ credit hours is helpful to the accomplishment of courses. It concludes that the way of lifelong learning getting achievement accreditation by MOOCs is quite different from the present accreditation standards of online courses in Taiwan colleges and schools. However, it has a high degree of fit with the non-formal education courses accreditation system.
