The Russiagate is a product of political struggles among different political forces in the U.S..It originated from the'Steele Dossier'during the presidential election in 2016.Influenced by the trend of political polarization, the Democratic Party wanted to use the Russiagate to beat President Trump and the Republican Party, and other anti-Trump forces also wanted to use the Russiagate to reduce the legitimacy of Trump presidency. The Republican Party has not tried with its full strength to block the investigation of the Russiagate. The mainstream media of the U.S.also play an important role in the anti-Trump movement. These factors have contributed to the ferment of the event. The Russiagate has made it more difficult to improve U.S.-Russia relation;it has also affected the building of President Trump’s administrative team, stalled President Trump’s policy agenda, and made the political polarization and social division more divided.
