摘要
意象是诗人托物言志的良好渠道,与隐喻有紧密联系,隶属于隐喻的范畴,是诗歌的灵魂。文章探讨中国诗歌中的意象及其英译问题,通过对比分析李商隐《无题诗》的两篇英译文发现优劣,认为在翻译诗歌的意象时,应以意译治事,作阐释性的翻译,以补偿文化空缺。
Chinese poets usually expressed their feeling and aspiration through images that are relevant to some objects or embodiment. Images, having close relationship with metaphors, belong to the category of metaphors and are the soul of poems. A variety of images combined in a poem produces a certain effect and a poetic mood. By analyzing the translations of the poem written by Li Shangyin, the paper attempts to make a research on images and the translation of images. It is advisable to adopt sense-for-sense method to compensate the cultural default when we are translating the images of poetry.
