Screening of Manganese Removal Microorganism and the Performance of Biological Activity

摘要 从台州市玉环里墩自来水厂的滤池中采集石英砂,筛选分离获得4株具有氧化除锰功能的微生物菌株,其中一株具有较强的氧化除锰性能。通过对该菌株的形态学及生理生化研究以及碱基(G+C)mol%含量测定,确认其属于芽孢杆菌属,命名为Bacillus CW1。采用不同的发酵培养基对获得4菌株进行培养,且利用原子吸收光谱法对该菌氧化除锰效果进行检测分析,结果显示Bacillus CW1具有较强的氧化除锰能力。 Four bacterial strains with manganese removal ability were screened and separated from the filter quartz sand sampled in Yuhuan Lidun Water Plant, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. One of the strains was found with stronger manganese removal capability.Through morphological, physiological and biochemical study, as well as the(G+C) mol% content determination, the strain proved to belong to the genus Bacillus, named as Bacillus CW1. The four bacterial strains were cultivated with different culture mediums and then their manganese removal abilities were investigated using atomic absorption spectroscopy. Result showed that Bacillus CW1 had better manganese removal efficiency.
