摘要
目的体外观察松油烯-4-醇对痤疮主要病原菌痤疮丙酸杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌的抑制作用。方法采用抑菌圈试验测定松油烯-4-醇对痤疮丙酸杆菌(ATCC11827)、金黄色葡萄球菌(ATCC25923)的抑制作用,测定最小抑菌浓度(MIC),绘制抑菌曲线,并观察其对细菌细胞形态的影响。结果松油烯-4-醇对痤疮病原菌痤疮丙酸杆菌、金黄色葡萄球菌均有抑制作用,最小抑菌浓度分别为2.50和0.63mg/ml。抑菌曲线显示松油烯-4-醇能延长细菌生长的迟缓期,维持药物浓度能明显抑制细菌生长。扫描电镜观察松油烯-4-醇可使菌体干瘪皱缩,丧失原来形态。结论松油烯-4-醇具有体外抑制痤疮丙酸杆菌和金黄色葡萄球菌作用。
Objectives To evaluate the antimicrobial activity of terpinen-4-ol against Propionibacterium acnes and Staphylococcus aureus in vitro. Methods Terpinen-4-ol was tested for its anti-microbial activity against P.acnes(ATCC11827)and S.aureus(ATCC25923)in an inhibitory zone test.The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)of terpinen-4-ol was determined with respect to P.acnes and S.aureus,and the bacteriostatic curve was plotted for each pathogen.The morphology of the two bacteria was observed after they were exposed to terpinen-4-ol. Results Results indicated that terpinen-4-ol had more potent antimicrobial activity against S.aureus than against P.acnes.The MIC of terpinen-4-ol with respect to P.acnes was 2.50 mg/mL,and the MIC of terpinen-4-ol with respect to S.aureus was 0.63 mg/mL.The bacteriostatic curve indicated that terpinen-4-ol delayed bacterial growth.It markedly inhibited bacterial growth by maintaining the drug concentration.Cells exposed to terpinen-4-ol had a more wrinkled surface according to scanning electron microscopy. Conclusion Terpinen-4-ol had antimicrobial activity against both P.acnes and S.aureus in vitro.
