摘要
文章利用209家高新技术企业2011-2016年的面板数据,基于高阶理论与资源基础理论从管理者内部心理特征和外部背景特征探讨过度自信与政治关联对企业创新绩效的影响机理,并检验了创新投入在其中的中介效应。研究发现:管理者过度自信会显著抑制企业创新绩效,且会通过创新投入过度行为负向影响企业创新绩效;政治关联对企业创新绩效的净效应为正,但同时政治关联引起的创新资源"挤出效应"会对企业创新绩效产生一定负面影响。据此从政府层面、企业层面提出促进企业创新绩效提升相应的政策建议。
Based on the panel of 209 high-tech firms in China from 2011 to 2016,and drawing on the upper echelons theory( UET) and resource-based view( RBV),the paper examines the effects of managerial overconfidence and political connection on corporate innovation performance from the perspectives of managers' internal psychological characteristics and external context characteristics. The study shows that: Managerial overconfidence can significantly inhibit corporate innovation performance,and then negatively affect corporate innovation performance through the excessive investment in innovation; The net effect of political connection on corporate innovation performance is positive,but meanwhile,the"crowding out effect"of the innovation resources caused by political connection also has a certain negative impact on corporate innovation performance. Accordingly,the paper puts forth some corresponding policy recommendations to improve corporate innovation performance from the government level and the enterprise level.
