Based on panel data of 29 provinces in China from 1997 to 2015,this paper examines the impact of industrial structure and urbanization quality on intensive land use from direct impact and spatial spillovers two aspects by using spatial econometric model. The results are as follows:( 1) Both urbanization quality and intensive land use show upward trends on the whole; in the process of industrial structure evolution, structural effect of eastern region is better than that of northeastern region and central and western regions, while competition effect is not changed and the regional differences are not obvious.( 2) The spatial differences between industrial structure, urbanization quality and intensive land use are mainly derived from regional differences, and eastern region has the largest differences.( 3) There is a significant positive spillover effect on intensive land use, urbanization quality is an important factor affecting intensive land use. At the national level, the impact of industrial structure on the intensive land use is not significant, but at the regional level, there is a significant negative impact on industrial structure of eastern region, and there is a significant positive impact on competition effect in the central region, while western region and northeastern region of industrial structure effect is not significant.
