Design and optimization of IGBT heat dissipation scheme based on air cooling

摘要 本文根据某接收机IGBT散热需求,提出了紧凑式设计方案,并采用RNG k-%模型数值模拟了三种翅片和四种紧凑式流动和散热器散热特性。结果表明:半圆形翅片流阻特性最好,而三角形翅片传热特性更好。根据Webb最佳翅片因子结果,半圆形、等腰三角形翅片相对于矩形翅片换热特性均有改善。对比四种紧凑式散热器数值模拟结果,发现方案1不仅散热器表面温度均匀性、最高温度满足IGBT散热需求,且较原工程模型占用空间和重量分别减少70%和49%。 Based on heat dissipation requirement of IGBT in a commercial receiver, the compact design of 4 types heat sinks with 3 types fins was proposed and numerically evaluated using RNG k-ε model. The results show that the semi circular fin has the smallest flow drop while the triangular fin achieves the best heat transfer performance. Compared with the rectangular fin, both the semi circular fin and the triangular fin could get better performance in Webb fin factor. Heat sink 1 meets uniformity and maximum temperature requirements of the IGBT. By compact design, Heat sink 1 reduces the occupied space by 70% and the weight by 49%.
