摘要
肿瘤干细胞(CSC)是指在肿瘤内具有自我更新能力并能产生肿瘤内所有异质性细胞的细胞(群)。CSC的两大特征为自我更新能力和多向分化并重新形成肿瘤的能力。本文综述了CSC领域内的近期进展情况,包括CSC的各种不同表型、个体肿瘤中存在的多个CSC群、CSC的遗传进化能力、非肿瘤干细胞(non-CSC)转化成CSC的潜力等。这些研究结果为深入探讨肿瘤的发生、发展及评价预后等提供了新的理论依据,也为肿瘤的治疗带来了新的思路。
Cancer stem cells( CSC) are cells( groups) that have the ability to self-renew and produce all heterogeneous cells within the tumor. Two major hallmarks of CSC are the ability to self-renew and to differentiate into heterogeneous lineages of cancer cells. This article reviews recent advances in the field of CSC,including various phenotypes of CSC,multiple CSC populations present in individual tumors,the genetic evolutionary ability of CSC,the potential for transformation of non-tumor stem cells into tumor stem cells,etc. These findings not only provide a new theoretical basis for in-depth discussion of tumor occurrence,development and prognosis evaluation,but also bring new ideas for the treatment of cancer.
