摘要
私立五华文理学院是创办于民国时期的一所边疆学府,其址位于云南省省会昆明。它诞生于抗日战争胜利后,是由云南地方名流主导创办的一所私立大学。学院坚持立足边疆,以复兴云南本省文化为己任,在培养学生、研究学术等方面做了大量工作。虽然办学历程短暂,在办学过程中存在诸多局限,但却在近代云南教育史上具有一定的影响,其对边疆教育事业所做的各种探索和实践,迄今仍有重要的借鉴意义。
The Private Wuhua University of Arts and Sciences is a frontier institution founded in the period of the Republic of China. It was located in Kunming,the provincial capital of Yunnan province. It was established after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War,and was a private university founded by the local celebrities. The rejuvenation of the local culture is the mission of the university and a lot of work was done for training students and academic research. Despite of short period of school running and many limitations,it has left a certain influence on the history of the local education in modern times,and has important reference significance for today＇s various explorations and practice of the frontier education cause.
