Objective: To systematically evaluate the anti-hypertensive effect of compound Qima capsule(QM) on essential hypertension(EH), in order to provide evidence for QM's clinical experiment. Methods: According to the inclusive criteria, full-text literatures about randomized controlled trials(RCT) for intervention on blood pressure or 24 h arterial pressure with QM in EH patients were searched from database of CNKI, Wanfang Data and VIP, which deadline was July 31, 2016. Based on the evaluation of literature quality, studies data were extracted to conduct a Meta-analysis with RevMan 5.3 software. Results: 1963 patients were treated in 24 articles(treatment group vs control group: 1047 vs 916), including 16 articles of observation on anti-hypertension effect(735 vs 626), 22 articles on blood pressure(955 vs 872) and 4 articles on 24 h arterial pressure(168 vs 167);compared with control group, the SBP, 24 hSBP, d SBP, dDBP, nSBP of treatment group were significantly decreased(P〈0.01), while there was no statistical difference in DBP and 24 hDBP, n DBP(P〉0.05), but the anti-hypertensive effect was significantly improved(P〈0.01). Conclusion: Single use of QM or combination with anti-hypertensive drugs mainly reduces SBP and auxiliarily reduces DBP to improve the depressor effect.
