6000 years ago,human activities had shown on the land of Zhuhai.Being the birthplace of Xiangshan Culture,Zhuhai had well-developed fishery economy.In modern and contemporary times,the city have set a new trend for its cultures：the culture for overseas students,the culture for business and commerce,the culture for overseas Chinese and the culture for the special economic zone have all sprung up and promoted well.The ancestors lived here were open-minded,enterprising,hardworking,adventurous and tolerant.All these qualities are the characters of marine culture.Retaining the city ’s historical roots and inheriting Chinese civilization creates a driving force for the development of the city and ideological construction.
