摘要
诗歌的翻译不同于其他文学形式的翻译,最大障碍在于意象的传达。虽然意象的传达有赖于字词的斟酌,但优美的语言形式并不一定能把诗歌的神韵美淋漓尽致地表现出来。本文试图通过分析黄杲炘翻译的《当初我俩分离时》译文,找出诗歌翻译侧重形式,对于意象神韵的传达所带来的弊端,进而强调意象的神韵美是诗歌翻译的重点所在。
The translation of poetry is different from that of other literary forms and the barrier lies in imagery transmission. The transmission of imagery depends on the choice of words, but even well chosen words may not be able to express the meaning, the intention, the spirit and the imagery of the poetry completely and vividly. By analyzing the translation of the poem "When We Two Parted", translated by Huang Gao-xin, the paper attempts to testify the important status of imagery in poetry translation based on the identification of the shortcomings of focusing on linguistic forms only.
