摘要
本文首先从地理信息系统（ＧＩＳ）设计模型入手，简要回顾了ＧＩＳ的４种设计模型。通过比较分析，指出整体ＧＩＳ设计模型更适宜于分布式和多媒体技术发展带来的挑战。然后，以作者设计的ＧＩＳ试验系统ＧＥＯＤＢＭＳ为例，介绍了分布式环境下的空间数据获取，更新和查询方法。
This paper provides a review of the four design models of Geographic Information System (GIS) based on the comparison, it points out that the integrated model is the most suitable model facing challenges of the development of distributive and multi-media technology. It presents the approaches for accessing, updating and querying distributed spatial data by taking GEODBMS which is an integrated GIS designed by the author as an example.
