摘要
In 1991 summer, Jiang-Huai and Taihu Lake basin incurred serious flood disaster.Taihu Lake basin is an important agricutural base,transport centre and economic hinterland due to its advantages of geographic location,rich of intellectuals, high urbanization.So it appeared to be greatly important to actually, precisely and quickly assess the flooding regime and damage.This paper focused on the work done by Chinese Academy of Sciences through utilization of remote sensing,geographical information system in combination of conventional field investigation to estimate the flooding regime in Taihu Lake basin in the summer of 1991.
