摘要
城市化进程不仅关系到区域人口、经济和环境的可持续发展,而且关系到区域平衡和区域生产效率,关系到区域国际竞争力。中国政府应根据不同的区域发展机制制定相应的城市化政策和战略,按照21世纪议程,尤其是要充分利用加入WTO的有利时机,在大力促进城市化的同时,将区域的总体利益摆在首位。
In China's urbanization, the policyfor urban development restricts regionaldevelopment and coordination, as such,results in the lagging urban developmentwhich is not compatible with China'sindustrialization. Chinese governmentshould employ different urban developmentpolicies and strategies accordingly,especially at the favourable time of China'sentry to WTO now for the regional interestsshould be put on the first priority.
