摘要
通过考证,指出徐寅于唐昭宗乾宁元年第一次登进士第,未谋到像样的官职,又于后唐开平四年重新参加进士考试而夺魁。他的生卒年约为公元869—938年。《十国春秋》、《登科记考》及现行各种工具书有关徐寅的介绍均不全。
Xu Yin succeededin imperialexaminationin the firstyear of ZhaozongQianningin the Tang Dynasty,but was not give an idealposition.He becamethe NumberOne Scholarwhen he reattemptedthe examinationin the fourth year of Kaipingin the PosteriorTang Dynasty.He wasprobablyborn in869and died in938A.D.He was recordedin Yearsof the Ten Kingdoms,TextualResearchof the Recruitsfrom ImperialExaminations,and some presentreferencebooks,but incompletely.
