摘要
西尔维娅·普拉斯是美国20世纪60年代自白派诗人的代表,她与艾米莉·迪金森和伊丽莎白·毕肖普并称为美国近代文学史上三位最重要的女诗人。长期以来研究普拉斯诗歌的国内外学者都过于看重她与诗坛情侣英国诗人特德·休斯在诗歌内涵上的互文关系,却很少有人关注她与英国作家劳伦斯的诗歌渊源。事实上,劳伦斯的小说和诗歌对普拉斯诗歌创作的影响不仅体现在诗歌意象群布置和象征主义观点的运用上,还表现在诗歌主题选择与诗歌语言的文字编排等方面。主要从劳伦斯与普拉斯作品主题互文视角探索两者的诗歌渊源,对死亡意象进行比较分析。
Sylvia Plath is one of America's confessional poets in the 1960 s and the three most important poetesses in American modern literature history along with Emily Dickinson and Elizabeth Bishop. For a long time, intertextual relation of poetic connotation between she and Ted Hughes has been paid more attention, but the connection between she and D. H. Lawrence has been neglected. The influence of Lawrence's novels and poems on Plath's poetic creation is embodied not only in her poetic imagery arrangement and use of symbols, but also in the choice of poetic theme and lexican layout of poetic language, etc. This paper makes a comparative analysis of the theme and death image to find out the intertextual relation between Lawrence and Plath.
