摘要
以往研究在考察高铁与区域经济增长关系的过程中,忽视了高铁对区域经济差距的影响,也缺乏对高铁开通背景下要素在区域之间流动现象的关注。在对当前中国高铁开通背景下区域经济增长格局的经验事实进行分析的基础上,本文从要素流动的视角,详细阐述了高铁开通对区域经济差距的影响机理,并以是否开通高铁作为一项"准自然实验",采用2004—2014年中国287个地级市的数据,对高铁开通与区域经济差距的关系进行了考察。研究发现,考察期内,高铁开通能够通过要素流动对区域经济差距产生显著的正向影响,即高铁开通能够拉大区域经济差距,产生极化效应。高铁开通显著扩大了省会城市的经济差距,但是对非省会城市的影响效应是不显著的。高铁开通对区域经济差距的影响具有显著的时间效应,高铁开通的极化效应在整体上呈现出先递增再递减的趋势。
The previous literature which studies the relationship between Highspeed Rail and regional economic growth has ignored the impact of Highspeed Rail on the regional economic disparities and the phenomenon of factor flow among regionsBy analyzing the empirical facts of Chinas regional economic growth pattern in the context of Highspeed Rail,and from the perspective of factor flow,this paper elaborates on the impact mechanism of Highspeed Rail on regional economic disparities in detailMeanwhile,this paper studies the impact of Highspeed Rail on regional economic growth disparities through a qusainatural experiment of whether the Highspeed Rail shall be developed and based on the data of Chinas 287 cities during 2004-2014 periodAccording to the study,we found that Highspeed Rail has a significant positive effect on the regional economic disparities through the flow of factors,that is to say,the opening of the Highspeed Rail can widen the regional economic gap and produce polarization effectBesides,the opening of Highspeed Rail significantly expands the provincial capitalseconomic disparity,but the effect on the nonprovincial capitals is not significantAt last,the impact of the Highspeed Rail on the regional economic disparities is characterized by a significant time effect,and the polarization effect has shown a trend of increasing and then decreasing
