摘要
美国华裔性别书写始终与华裔社群在美国的现实生存状况以及其被歧视、被边缘化的历史语境密切相关。90年代之后,在文化多元主义、全球化等后现代力量影响之下,华裔美国文学在性和性别书写上趋于多元和复杂,《裸体吃中餐》便是其中一个代表性文本。文中的华裔女孩罗碧,在性别和性相中展现出许多反传统的面向,即她的承诺无能、酷儿倾向和乱伦渴望。本文认为,这是人物深陷于种族、阶层、家庭、性别的复杂纠葛中的迷惘和挣扎,是表征于个人性相的父权制、种族主义等文化创伤的症候。
Gender writing in Chinese American Literature is closely connected to the living reality of the Chinese community as well as its historical context.Since the 1990s,under the influence of such postmodern forces as multiculturalism,globalization etc.,the representations of gender and sexuality in Chinese American Literature have become even more multi-faceted and complicated,among which Eating Chinese Food Naked is a representative text.Ruby Lee,the Chinese-American protagonist in Eating Chinese Food Naked,has broken away from sexual normativity,which can be shown in her commitment impotency,queer orientation and incest longing.This can be interpreted as the protagonist’s confusion and struggle in the tangle of race,class,family and gender as well as the symptoms of cultural trauma incurred by patriarchy and racialism etc.
