摘要
以澳大利亚电影《鳄鱼邓迪》剧本中的七段语篇为切入点,解析了以鳄鱼邓迪为代表的当代澳大利亚原住民非线性的时空观。在原住民看来,时间并非以昨天、今天和未来的线性形式呈现,而是以水塘形式呈现;事件并非以时间发生的先后排序,而是以与"个人"关系的远近排序。换言之,时间是不可分割的,过去与现在水乳交融。同理,人类与土地也是不可分的。这种时空观是混沌的梦幻世界观重要的组成部分,是一种受神灵掌控,而不受外界绝大多数常人的认知模式影响的时空观,也是澳大利亚原住民超然的民族认知取向。与线性时空观相比,它具有生存性等七大特征。揭示这种认知取向,旨在帮助观众更深入地观赏原住民题材的电影及文学作品。
The present study aims to explore modern Australian Aborigine’s non-linear time perception,reflected by the representative of modern Australian Aborigines,Crocodile Dundee,through the cognitive analysis of 7 written discourses from the film Crocodile Dundee.The Aboriginal concept of time differs from that of most people in that Aborigines do not perceive time as an exclusively‘linear’category(i.e.past-present-future)and often place events in a‘circular’pattern of time according to which an individual is in the centre of‘time-circles’and events are placed in time according to their relative importance for the individual and his or her respective community(i.e.the more important events are perceived as being‘closer in time’).In other words,time is just like water in a running river,which can neither be separated or divided into man-made imaginary pieces of time(ie.yesterday-today-tomorrow).This concept is the same with the land,in which concept they believe,man and land cannot be separated either.This kind of time-space perception is part of the Aborigine’s“Dreaming”worldview,a kind of deceased ancestors’protected enclosure,or their ethnic cognitive tendency,undisturbed by any impact from the outside world.The analysis revealed seven characteristics in their cognitive tendency,and it will help readers discover their supernatural ethnic cognitive tendency from the perspective of mystifying mental chaotic world.The aim of the study is to help readers to reach a deeper understanding of Aboriginal films,fictions and its ancient art alike.
