Objective: To systematically evaluate the relationship between isolated thyroid peroxidase antibody positive of pregnant women in the first trimester pregnancy and their thyroid function and pregnancy outcomes in the third trimester pregnancy. Methods: Databases, such as CNKI, VIP, WanFang, PubMed and EMbase were electronically searched to collected case control studies about the association between isolated thyroid peroxidase antibody positive in the first trimester pregnancy and their thyroid function and pregnancy outcomes in the third trimester pregnancy. The articles which matched the including standard were selected, and the related information and data were extracted. Then meta analysis was performed by Review Manager 5.1 software. Results: A total of 18 articles were included in the meta analysis. The results of meta analysis showed that, isolated thyroid peroxidase antibody positive in the first trimester pregnancy was related to the increased risks of abortion, fetal intrauterine growth retardation, and abnormal thyroid function ( OR =3.35, 1.64, 3.23). Conclusion: Isolated thyroid peroxidase antibody positive in the first trimester pregnancy maybe increase the risks of abortion, fetal intrauterine growth retardation, and abnormal thyroid function in the third trimester pregnancy.
