摘要
蚩尤属于东夷族,发祥地在山西高平地区。河南省鲁山县滍水及河北省涿鹿县是其活动的地区。蚩尤当是十六世炎帝,为九黎之君,被后世尊为战神。炎帝与黄帝、黄帝与蚩尤有过许多友好的往来与交流,并不是一开始就打仗。九黎部族在与华夏部族的斗争中失败之后,夏商时期可能来到山西一带。海南的黎族当与中原地区的九黎部族有关系。今河南省许昌市东南有一郭集,蚩姓在这个村里是大姓,村中有历史遗存说明蚩尤真有其人。
As a member of the Dongyi ethnic group, Chi You was from the Gaoping in Shanxi province. Lushan county in Henan and Zhulu county in Hebei were the places where he ever lived. Chi You was the 16th generation of Yan Emperor, the emperor of Jiuli ( a tribe of ancient times). He was honored as the God of War by later generations. Yan Emperor and Huang Emperor, Huang Emperor and Chi You had a lot of friendly exchanges and contacts, they didn't fight at the beginning. After the defeat of Jiuli tribe in the struggle against the Huaxia tribe, he might come to Shanxi during the Xia and Shang periods. Li nationality in Hainan has relations with Jiuli tribe in the central China. Today, in Guoji (southeast of Xuchang, Henan province), there are many people surnamed Chi and the historical relics of this village indicate the existence of Chi You.
