摘要
认知翻译学认为翻译是一种认知活动,语言转换仅是外在的、表面的,认知运作才是内在的、深层的。以王寅教授提出的翻译"认知环节"为基础,以学习者在翻译实践中的学习日志为语料,尝试研究学习者翻译过程中的"认知环节"的具体表现,旨在从认知视角研究学习者的翻译能力习得现状,以期指导翻译实践教学,丰富学习者翻译能力理论。研究发现,学习者对汉语本土题材或与汉语题材共性较大的源文本材料"感觉"深刻,有意识地记录下来,并以"感觉"为基础更好地"知觉"文本信息;对两种客观现实和语言现实差异性的认知不足影响学习者的源语理解与译文表达;学习者隐喻认知能力有限,影响学习者源语隐喻理解和翻译。
Cognitive Translatology assumes that translation,superficially defined as linguistic transfer,involves cognitive activities and cognitive operation deep inside.This paper attempts to study the learners’“cognitive process in translation”proposed by Professor Wang Yin through a detailed analysis of the learners’translation logs in a bid to have a better view of their translation acquisition and provide a guidance for future teaching.The study has found that the learners have a deep“sensation”for the native Chinese materials or the English ones which share much in common with the Chinese in themes,and they record their“sensation”consciously and based on it they have a better“perception”of the source material;the lack of knowledge in the two objective realities and two language realities exerts a negative impact on their understanding of the source material and thus their translation;learners’weak metaphorical competence hampers their understanding and translation of metaphors.
