Objective To explore the intervention effect of clinical pharmacists on clinical irrational drug use through pharmaceutical care. Methods 220 outpatients and inpatients admitted to our hospital from May 2015 to April 2018 were selected as the subjects of study. According to the random number table method, the patients were divided into study group(n=110) and control group(n=110). Patients in the control group were given routine medication guidance. The patients in the study group were given rational drug use pharmaceutical care intervention, and the drug use of the two groups was compared. Results The cognitive level of drug use in the study group was better than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). The medication compliance of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). The clinical irrational drug use rate in the study group was lower than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05). Conclusion Pharmaceutical care intervention by clinical pharmacists can effectively improve patients’ disease awareness, drug compliance, prevent and reduce clinical irrational drug use, improve the rationality of clinical drug use, reduce the occurrence of drug errors, and the intervention effect is good.
