摘要
交流是否增进两岸好感,陆生在台湾地区的就学是否会减少台湾地区高校学生对大陆的刻板印象?本文使用台湾地区高校学生的微观数据,实证检验与陆生的交往、接触是否影响了他们的大陆印象。结果显示:与陆生的接触显著改善了台生的大陆印象。为了解决之前文献中的内生性问题,本文使用台湾地区各高校的陆生占比作为台生接触陆生的工具变量,工具变量法进一步加强了结论。本文不但对群际接触理论进行了检验,对于两岸工作也有参考作用。
Do exchanges improve good feelings between the two sides of the Strait?Will the mainland students who study in Taiwan reduce the stereotyped impression from Taiwan?By using micro data of the Taiwan college students,this paper tests empirically whether their contact with the mainland students in Taiwan affects their attitude towards the mainland.The findings show that the contact significantly improves their attitudes towards the mainland.To address the endogenous problem in the previous literature,this paper uses the proportion of the mainland students studying in various universities in Taiwan as an instrument variable for Taiwan students to contact them,and unsurprisingly,the variable method used further reinforces the conclusion.In fact,this paper not only tests the intergroup contact theory,but also serves as a reference to the affairs of both sides.
