Study on Combustion Characteristics of PBS/Wood Fiber Flame Retardant Composites

摘要 以酯化淀粉(ES)作为木薯渣界面改性剂,并结合膨胀阻燃剂(IFR)和碱式硫酸镁晶须(MHSH)制备阻燃型聚丁二酸丁二醇酯(PBS)/木薯渣纤维复合材料,对复合材料的阻燃性能、燃烧性能和阻燃机理进行了研究。结果表明,当m(PBS)∶m(IFR)∶m(木薯渣)∶m(MHSH)=7∶2. 3∶0. 5∶0. 2时,阻燃型木塑复合材料的LOI为39. 6%,UL94达到了V-0等级。MHSH具有协效阻燃效果,MHSH作为协效阻燃剂能够降低木塑燃烧时的热释放速率、总烟释放量、一氧化碳和二氧化碳释放速率。阻燃型木塑复合材料燃烧时,在其外部形成了一层膨化的炭层和难燃气体(NH3)保护层,阻止了材料基体进一步燃烧,从而使阻燃复合材料具有更好阻燃性能。 Taking esterified starch as modifier of the cassava residue interface,combined with intumescent flame retardant(IFR)and basic magnesium sulfate whisker(MHSH)to prepare flame retardant cassava fiber/poly(butylene succinate)(PBS)composites.The flame retardant,combustion properties and flame retardant mechanism of composites were investigated.The results show when the ratio of PBS,IFR,fiber and MHSH are 7∶2.3∶0.5∶0.2,the LOI value is 39.6%and UL-94 of composite could achieve V-0 level.The heat release rate,total smoke release,carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide release rate of wood plastic combustion could be reduced by MHSH as a synergistic flame retardant.In the process of burning,the wood fiber flame retardant composites could provide a layer of puffed carbon and a refractory gas shied(NH3)which could be formed on the outside of the composite to prevent the material from being burned.Thereby,the flame retardant composites have better flame retardant properties.
