摘要
本文以20世纪60年代至80年代影像艺术的发展为背景,梳理这一时期的影像是如何被艺术家作为媒介应用在艺术创作中的。从这一梳理中,可以见出影像艺术语言的形成原因和早期诸种影像语言的美学特性。早期影像艺术的语言形成其实是从艺术家使用影像去记录事件开始的,艺术家在客观记录中慢慢加入个人主观的表达,从而形成了一种影像艺术的表现语言。这种从无到有的轨迹可以解释艺术史中各种媒介从创生到形成独特门类的普遍规律。
Taking the development of video art from the 1960 s to the 1980 s as the background, this paper gives a survey of how videos in this period were applied in artistic creation by artists as a medium. From this survey, we can see the causes of the formation of video art language and the aesthetic characteristics of various early video languages. The formation of early video art language actually began with the artists’ use of videos to record events. The artists gradually added their personal subjective expression to the objective record, thus forming an expressive language of video art. This trajectory from scratch can explain the universal law of various media in the history of art in their growth, after their emerging, into a unique genre.
