Beijing, with its neighbor city, Zhangjiakou, on July 31, 2015, won the bid to host the 2022 Olympic Winter Games. The 2022 Winter Olympics will be held from February 4-20. China has enhanced development of its ice and snow tourism industry in recent years, especially in Beijing and surrounding area, as well as in China's three northeastern provinces.
