摘要
保偏光纤是光纤陀螺的核心元件,随着光纤陀螺对精度和小型化的需求越来越强烈,光纤的外形尺寸在不断减小。针对在减小光纤外径的同时保持光纤的优异性能这一难题,文章对细径保偏光纤的波导结构和双折射条件进行了理论研究,提出了60/100μm(包层/涂层)细径保偏光纤的波导结构设计方法,实现了基于等离子体化学气相沉积工艺和特殊拉丝技术的细径保偏光纤研制,并通过小弯曲条件和温度变化等大量环境试验,对细径保偏光纤的可靠性进行了研究,结果表明,所研制的60/100μm细径保偏光纤具有优越的性能和良好的可靠性,可满足光纤陀螺的应用需求。
Polarization-Maintaining Fiber (PMF) is the core component of fiber optic gyroscope. Due to the high requirement of precision and miniaturization in fiber optic gyros, the outer dimensions of optical fibers are decreasing. As fiber geometries continue to shrink, how to reduce the fiber's outer diameter while maintaining the fiber's superior performance becomes a major challenge in fiber design and manufacturing. In this paper, the 60/100 μm PMF technology is studied, and the reliability of the developed product is analyzed.
