摘要
在幼儿园班级质量评估中,学习与借鉴西方评估工具是一种重要途径,但其与我国文化的适宜性问题也引起了越来越多的关注与反思。采用国际通行的"幼儿学习环境评量表(ECERS-3)"最新修订版对上海12所幼儿园39个班级的学习环境质量进行评估,探讨这个基于西方文化价值观的评估量表在中国文化的适宜性问题。研究发现,该评量表具有明显的个人主义价值取向,对文化多样性更为敏感,学习内容和学习方式更加多元,与中国幼儿园班级环境文化现状存在一定程度差异;但同时其对师幼互动尤其是教师参与的强调,对幼儿个体需求的满足与尊重等方面的重视也极具参考价值。研究进一步从文化学的角度探讨了深层次原因,并从文化自觉的角度提出了合理有效运用西方评估工具的对策建议。
Learning from the West and using their rating scales to evaluate Chinese kindergarten classroom environment is very important and efficient,but we also need to pay a great attention to the cross-cultural appropriation. Based on the application and analysis of Early Childhood Education Rating Scale(Third Edition) in 39 classes of 12 kindergartens in Shanghai,the paper further discusses the cultural differences. The findings show that the assessment scale is more personal-orientated,more sensitive to cultural diversity,and more diversified in learning contents and methods,which is different from Chinese culture to some extent. Meanwhile,child-teacher interaction,teachers’ participation,satisfaction to children’s needs and respect for children’s rights highlighted in the beliefs and values of evaluation tool should also be taken into serious consideration in Chinese culture. This paper also tries to analyze reasons lying behind the phenomenon from the viewpoint of cultural research,and provides appropriate ways to use western evaluation instruments.
