阿勒坦统治下的土默特部经济疲惫、人口激增、灾害频发,为摆脱困境,他多次调整策略,从“拥众入边”到“开立马市”,从“招徕流民”到“起造板升”,采取了垦地务农、发展手工、建造城市等措施,丰州地区一度繁荣。但此时,先是气候突然变化、后是把汗那吉南投,致使丰州受挫。阿勒坦再次调整策略,转危为安,达成和议,互通贸市,丰州进入全新发展阶段。
Under Altan’s rule,Tumed’s economy was tired,but its population increased and natural disasters often occured. In order to get out of trouble,Altan adjusted his strategy many times: from "Plunder Border People" to "Establishing Horse Market",from "Recruiting Floating People" to "Building large Baishin". He had also taken such measures as reclaiming wasteland,developing handicraft and building cities to develop Fengzhou.As a result,the area had a prosperous scene. However,at this moment,Sudden climate change leads to agricultural damage,and Bahananji left Mongolia for the Ming due to family conflicts. The area had suffered setbacks. Altan adjusted his policy again and reached peace negotiations,Then Tumed established trade relations with the Ming. The area had entered a new phase.
