Objective To explore the effect of application ofcontinuous nursing intervention in discharged patients with chronic wounds. Methods 60 patients with chronic wounds who were treated in our hospital from June 2014 to February 2016 were selected.According to the random table generated by SPSS22.0 statistical analysis system, they were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing after discharge while the observation group was given continuous nursing intervention. After 3 months of follow-up,the clinical curative effects, quality of life and treatment cost of two groups were evaluated. Results The cure rate and effective rate of observation group were 43.3% and 93.3% respectively, significantly higher than those of control group (13.3% and 73.3%,all P < 0.05).The clinical curative effects of observation group were significantly better than those of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).The proportions of patients in the observation group who could go out alone and take care of themselves were significantly higher than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (all P < 0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of bed rest and limb contracture between the two groups (all P > 0.05). The treatment cost, dressing change times and readmission rate of patients in the observation group were significantly lower than those in control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion Continuous nursing intervention for discharged patients with chronic wounds can significantly improve the clinical curative effects, promote wound healing, improve the quality of life and reduce the cost of treatment. It is worth promoting in practice.
