摘要
新中国建立以来很长一段时间,被当作封建文化余孽的家训没能得到应有的重视与研究。随着20世纪90年代"国学热"的兴起,虽然各式各样的家训不断被编选、校注、阐释与出版,但是家训研究与家训文化普及极不匹配。即使如此,还是出现了大量的国内外英译本家训,相应地,英语世界的家训研究从翻译实践、文化传播与文化阐释三个方面得到了初步的研究,呈现出两种不同的研究路径。国内英译研究将重心放在了以文本为中心的句法转换、译本对比与文化传播三个方面;而作为"他者"的国外学界更注重像《颜氏家训》《袁氏世范》的文化属性,以此揭示中国传统家庭的文化构成。
For a long time since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,,family mottos,once regarded as the legacy of feudal culture,has not been given due attention and study.With the rise of‘the fever for Chinese studies'in the 1990s,although all kinds of family mottos have been edited,annotated,interpreted and published continuously,the study of family mottos and the popularization of family motto culture do not match very well.Even so,there still have emerged a large number of English versions of family mottos at home and abroad;accordingly,researches of them have been carried out in two ways from the aspects of translation practice,cultural communication and cultural interpretation.Researches of the English translation at home focus on three aspects:text-centered syntactic transformation,translation contrast,and cultural communication;in contrast,researchers abroad pay more attention to the cultural property of such family mottos as Yan Family’s Mottos,Yuan Family’s Norms in order to reveal the cultural composition of traditional Chinese family.
