摘要
明甘肃左副总兵霍玺墓志铭出土于甘肃省靖远县东湾镇杨稍沟村。该墓志文由明嘉靖乙未(1535)科进士、知南阳襄阳二府事许登瀛于嘉靖二十七年(1548)十一月撰写,其中包涵较丰富的明代历史相关信息。本文在整理志文的基础上,就志主霍玺及其家族状况、靖虏卫及花马池与明蒙关系、霍玺父亲霍忠革职充军原因、许登瀛应请撰写此志铭的背景等相关问题略作探讨,并结合志文及《明实录》等相关材料,补正《靖远县志》中对霍忠及霍玺记载的几点错误。
The epitaph of Huo Xi,the left vice-regional commander of Gansu Province of the Ming Dynasty,is unearthed at Yangshaogou Village in Dongwan Town,Jingyuan County,Gansu Province.The text of this epitaph was composed by Xu Dengying,who got the jinshi(metropolitan graduate,the examinee who passed the highest-level imperial examination)degree in the year of yiwei(1535)during the Jiajing reign period and has been assigned as the prefect of Nanyang and Xiangyang Prefectures,in the eleventh moon of the twenty-seventh year of Jiajing reign period(1548).This epitaph contains rich messages relevant to the history of the Ming Dynasty.Based on reviewing the epitaph text,this paper makes explorations on the issues about the career of Huo Xi,the master of the epitaph,and the situation of his family,the Jinglu Garrison,Huamachi Barracks and Ming-Mongol relationship,the reason for Huo Zhong,who was Huo Xi's father,to be removed from office and exiled,and the background for Xu Dengying to accept the request for composing this epitaph,and so on;meanwhile,referring to the epitaph text,Ming Shilu(Veritable Records of the Ming)and other relevant materials,this paper clarifies some errors about Huo Zhong and Huo Xi in the Gazetteer of Jingyuan County.
