摘要
β-胡萝卜素是类胡萝卜素中活性最高的维生素A前体物,不仅具有维生素A的生物活性,而且在动物繁殖方面发挥着独特的作用。母猪繁殖性能是母猪生产中的关键环节,β-胡萝卜素作为一种天然的饲料添加剂,在母猪生产中具有抗氧化、维持肠道健康、提高免疫力和繁殖性能等作用。本文阐述了β-胡萝卜素的生理功能及其作用机理,并综述了在母猪繁殖中应用β-胡萝卜素的研究成果,以期为β-胡萝卜素在母猪生产中更好的应用提供参考。
β-carotene is the most active vitamin A precursor in carotenoids,which not only has biological activity of vitamin A,but also plays a unique role in animal reproduction.Reproductive performance of sows is a key link in sow production.As a natural feed additive,β-carotene can anti-oxidation,maintain intestinal health,improve immunity and reproductive performance in sow production.This paper aimed to illustrate physiological function and mechanism of β-carotene,and reviewed research results of β-carotene in sow breeding,which could be regarded as a theoretical reference for application of β-carotene in sow production.
