The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of adding soybean oil or rapeseed oil on milk yield, longchain fatty acid composition of lactation goats and the changes of body weight of lactation goats and lambs.A total of 39 lambs(average weight 43.5±1.72 kg)were selected after delivery. They were divided into three groups since the day of delivery. The control group received grazing and forage, and the treatment group received 20 mL of soybean oil or rapeseed oil per day on the basis of grazing. Results:compared with control group, the vegetable oil groups significantly decreased goat’s weight loss(P<0.05,but the goat’s milk production and have no obvious effect on the growth performance of lamb(P>0.05),significantly improved the milk C4:0,C6:0,C8:0,C10:0,C11:0,C14:0 and C18:1 fatty acid contents(P<0.05),but significantly reduced the milk C12:0,C14:1,C16:0,C18:0,C18:,C18:2 and C18:3 fatty acids contents(P<0.05),In addition, soybean oil and rapeseed oil group significantly increased the conjugated linoleic acid content in milk compared with the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:the supplementation of 20 mL soybean oil or rapeseed oil per day during the grazing period had no significant effect on the milk yield and growth performance of the lambs, but it increased the level of conjugated linoleic acid in the milk and reduced the weight loss of the lactation goats.
