Objective To identify the bio-markers in the urine of pregnant women with diabetes mellitus after nutritional treatment. Methods The metabonomics method of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC/MS) was used in this study. Strict control of diet and exercise for 1 week in 116 pregnant women with diabetes mellitus Based on 116 cases of gestational diabetes mellitus pregnant women were strictly controlled diet ande xercise for 1 week,58 cases of unsatisfactory blood glucose control as experimental group and 58 cases of satisfactory blood glucose control as control group. Urine metabolomics analysis was performed on both groups of pregnant women to identify typical biomarkers. All data were analyzed by using SPSS 17. 0. Results After strict diet and exercise treatment, the urine concentration of alpha-ketoglutaric acid,3-hydroxybutyric acid, equuric acid, citric acid, proline, threonine, lactic acid and pantothenic acid 8 kinds of metabolites were significant difference between the two groups,(P < 0. 05). Therefore,the8 metabolites can be used as the indicators to evaluate the effect of nutritional treatment for gestational diabetes mellitus. Conclusion Alpha-ketoglutaric acid,3-hydroxybutyric acid, equuric acid, citric acid, proline, threonine, lactic acid and pantothenic acid can be used as the indicators to evaluate the effect of nutritional treatment for gestational diabetes mellitus.
