摘要
新词是语言对社会变化表现最活跃、最敏感的部分,最能勾勒出这个时代的万千气象,反映当下社会的热点焦点。当代汉语新词受到国际社会的广泛关注,其准确的英译有助于国际社会了解真实、全面、立体的当今中国。本文通过分析当代汉语新词的来源种类及存在的种种误译现象,提出了舶来词的回译、合成派生新词的语素层翻译、文化移情--相似文化意象新词的迻译、得"意"而不忘"形"--音译加注文化负载新词、填补意义真空--释译缩略类新词等避免和减少误译现象的翻译策略。
Neologism is the most active and sensitive part of language to social changes.Neologism can outline the up-to-date social events and reflect people’s daily concerns.Contemporary Chinese neologisms have attracted worldwide eattention,the accurate translations of contemporary Chinese neologisms are the key words that the international community needs to capture to understand the authentic,comprehensive and multidimensional China.After analyzing the sources and types of contemporary Chinese neologisms and various mistranslations,this paper puts forward the counter-measures to Chinese neologisms mistranslations,including back translation of loan words,morpheme-level translation of compound derivative neologism,transfer translation to equivalent cultural image to realize cultural empathy,transliteration and annotation of culture-loaded neologism to get the semantic features while retaining the morphemes,paraphrase the abbreviated neologism to fill in the semantic gap.
