Objective To explore the relationship between resilience, social support and coping style of patients with functional constipation(FC). Methods A total of 130 FD patients were surveyed by the general data questionnaire, Chinese Connor-Davidson mental resilience scale(CD-RISC), social support rating scale(SSRS), and simplified coping style questionnaire(SCSQ). Results The total scores of resilience and social support of patients with functional constipation were(61.86±17.68) and(35.74±6.76) respectively, and the scores of positive coping mode and negative coping mode were(1.78±0.52)and(1.59±0.66)respectively;Correlation analysis showed that FC patients’ total score of resilience and each dimension were positively correlated with social support score and objective support dimension, and positive coping mode scores. Multivariate analysis showed that positive coping mode was an independent predictor of resilience of patients with functional constipation(P<0.05). Conclusions The resilience of patients with functional constipation is related to social support and positive coping mode. It suggests that interventions for social support and coping mode may help to improve the level of resilience of patients.
