摘要
本研究在基于使用的语言习得观下跟踪调查英语论元构式的动态发展情况。结果显示,论元构式的能产程度具有不均衡特点,发展脉络各异,线性和非线性共存,动态与停滞并现。由此推断,构式特征、内外语言系统的一致性问题和语言认知的归纳-演绎过程影响论元构式的动态发展。这一结果支持基于使用的语言习得观对语言能力发展连续统的假设,"项目习得"-"抽象图式"-"图式在新项目中的使用"之间的循环推动句法能产力的涌现和发展。
By drawing upon usage-based approach to language learning, the study examines the developmental issues of English argument constructions in a longitudinal research paradigm. Results show productive variance and different developmental patterns of argument constructions, co-existence of linear and non-linear developmental paths, and co-occurrence of dynamics and statics of argument construction learning. It is suggested that structural features, inconsistency between inner and outer language systems, and inductive and deductive learning co-influence development of argument constructions. The results provide support to the continuum hypothesis of usage-based approach to language learning. The cycling process of item-based language learning, schema-abstracting and extension of the schema to new items facilitates the emergence of syntactic competence.
